hi all! simetimes when i reboot, i get the inacessible_boot_device message on the blue screen. re-booting corrects the problem. any idea why, and how to fix? W2000P+SP2 is on a 5GB volume, and a 13GB volume is on the same disk, no other OS installed. i also have a slave HDD were the paging file is: does the connection on the flat cable matters? mine has (from the mother board) first the master HDD, then at the other end of the flat cable, the slave HDD. thank you! alberto

hi, When you have a blue screen, this a conflict or a device not compatible with Win2k. So, when you have a blue screen, reboot your PC, and when you have at the loading of windows at down of the screen, press F8. After you have a menu with option "restart with the last version". choose this. WARN: this option don't work if you have activate a user before stop or reboot your PC ! For knowing the list of win2k compatibily, you should find the HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) on the Microsoft site.
