Comment:

Suddenly my laptop one day decides that when I try and boot it that it cant find the boot device which is my hard drive. No new components have been added to the pc itself in a long while. Can I fix this problem or is the hard drive dead? I dont have a boot disc or the windows disk for it though. Any suggestions would be great.

Running Windows without 'the disc' is just a problem waiting to happen, as most repair options involve booting from that CD
