Inaccesable boot device

CPU/Ram: 150Mhz MMX / 112MB

I removed one slave hd just a small 2GB one, no longer needed and now windows 2000 is complaining. It is SOOO picky!!! how do I fix this.

I think you should go to [Start --> Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Storage Management] and erase the now missing HD from the list.

I finally got it to boot by useing a program called smart boot manager to boot the cd and run the recovery console. it starts up now. but now my ESS1688 audiodrive will start to play a sound but will only constantly repeat the first 1/2 sec of a sound. I can't get that fixed now. it is built into the bios and for now I've disabled it. till I can fix it. there was no hardware conflict either and my windows 98 multiboot doesn't do that. I have win 98 on a fat partition at the start of the drive to run old dos and win 3.1 stuff it is 2.1GB and the NTFS filles up the other 37.9GB. Win 98 doesn't screw up my sound card, so I don't know what is going on.
