Check the size of your WIN2K drive. It must be less than 7.8 gb for 98 to have a dual boot.
Reply back if it works.

If running a PC with an ATA100 you will get that error on reboot unless you have hit the F6 when prompted to install scsi drivers. W2K sees a promise controller as a scsi device, and did not support the device natively until SP2.

it says that setup couldn't determine one or more storage devices and will load support for following mass storage devices: then its the same INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error

Oh and are you using the win2000 boot floppies or are you installing from a win98 boot disk?

Check your boot.ini file. This will cause the problem you are experiencing. If you have another win2000 machine, look at the boot.ini file on it as a sample. I believe it is a hidden file.

Hi Stalker
Did you manage to sort your problem with boot problems; I am experiencing the same problem with w2k and 07xb after first restart; I have installed 98, nt ws4, nt server 4 with no hassles. I have tried to install from boot floppies, tried install with via miniport at f6 prompt as someone else suggested over at via forums - no success. Do I need to do full format before trying install?
Any ideas/hints would be gratefully received.
