Comment: Ok, firstly to get this clear. The problem is not with the monitor itself, since i've tried using two monitors on the other computer and both have the same results (and both work on the computer im on now). Basically, what is happening is this. When I start my computer, the images displayed (all that starting up information) is there, but there are breaks in the image and it comes out as a scribbled effect all over the screen. This same 'scribble' will happen for each starting menu screen, up until the computer it about to load up the desktop and all the programs...when it's about to start all of that, the monitor goes blank, and appears as if it was in a standby motion. I am able to access safe mode (still with scribbles though). Any suggestions? Or more description or imformation needed from me?

Reply: (edit)Well, you seem to have ruled out the monitor so that means you want to look at the video card next. Since you seem to have more than one PC I suggest you take the video card out of the one you were on when you posted and put it in the other PC. You can double check your findings by putting the other PC's video card in this machine. If it does seem to be the video card you can try updating the drivers with the most recent available first before buying a new card.
