I am probably missing the boat on this whole SMTP thing. I have created a webpage using FrontPage that has a form on it. I would like it to send an email to me notifying me that someone has submitted some information as well as appending the information into a file. Could someone tell me the steps I need to take to get the email portion working? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Harry, what you need to do is use something called FORM-MAIL. Go to www.scripts.com and search for FORM-MAIl script. If your webpage is being served on a Win2k Adv. Server (IIS) then you can tell Frontpage to have it mail ou the script. If you yourself have the IIS server, you need to make sure that your Server extensions and your CGI-BIN has a sort of formmail.pl script inside of it, if it doesnt email me and we will discuss. Or talk to me on AIM: NeoArchizo
