Are W2K users out of luck on IE7? It's not one of the OS's in the list for download.

Well if it is not supported then one would intelligently presume M$ have decided that W2K is past its prime....and not worth bothering with after 6 years.

'Not supported' seems pretty straightforward, and not really subject to interpretation

It's not like it's an essential application (that specific version, anyways)

Man oh man - it's only been a couple of days, and the IE7 hoopla is already wearing a bit thin

Yes, thanks god that IE 7 wont be supported in W2K. Unlike what MS claims, IE 7 features nothing new (it is already implemented in Opera or Firefox). Yes it is a giant leap if compared to 5-years-old IE 6 but nothing compared with Opera or Firefox. Moreover, till this date, IE 7 is not stable enough yet...
Try Opera ( http://www.opera.com ) and you wont look back

Well - whatever. Software choices are mainly a matter of personal preference & system requirements. I'll probably give it a try, but IE will never be my 'default browser', regardless of version

Right now IE7 is the 'flavour of the month' - you'd think they invented sliced bread or something. The furor should abate soon

I was wondering If I should get IE7 on both my PC or Laptop or not. My PC runs Win2K and Maxthon as my Default "browser" (although it runs on top of the IE engine) and if it would it work or not. With the Laptop is different story. Its WinXP but I also use Maxthon as default. Should I get IE7 on the laptop or should I wait a while and see what bugs they missed and fix first? Anyone tried IE7 (not the betas)with Maxthon yet see how its working?
