Comment:

I am having trouble with Internet Explorer 6 not redirecting to legitimate web pages. For example if I go into eBay and enter my password to go the completed searches page I get a message window saying:

"If you are seeing this page, your browser settings prevent you from automatically redirecting to a new URL. Please cliok here to continue"

When I click the 'here' link nothing happens.

This has also happened on other sites.

Thanks

There is a simple work-around fix to when you have either of the following two browser messages;

------------->
If you are seeing this page, your browser settings prevent you from automatically redirecting to a new URL.

Please click 'HERE' to continue.
----------------<

OR THIS MESSAGE,

------------->

You have securely logged in and should be redirected to the Discussion Boards within 1 second. If your browser does not automatically redirect you, please click 'HERE' to enter the Discussion Boards.
----------------<

Right mouse click on 'HERE', then select 'Properties'.

A Properties box will appear.

Float mouse over http:// URL next to 'Address:' using left click to select, and the right click to copy link.

Link to be copied looks like:
http://answercenter.ebay.com/entry.jsp?redirect=%2FthreadMode2.jsp%3Fforum%253D19%2526thread%253D810023153

Paste copied URL into browser address window, then hit enter, and magically you will be redirected to where you need to go!

Cheers and good luck!

tried what you said and it works perfect. I want to thank whoever posted this. I am curious, though. This just started with me a few days ago. I spent two hours on the phone with Dell and they could not fix it and said I had to pay $40.00 for their paid service to talk to someone who dealt strickly with this kind of stuff. Why did this start happening. What changed to make it happen. I can access my American Express account and other stuff, but I cannot get into EBay and some of my Amazon accounts. Is there anything I can do to fix this? If you do a google search for this phrase there are two message boards on Ebay that shows that others have this problem and it lists things to do. I did them all and nothing works.
