IE5.5 Work Offline is always checked

Everytime I bring up my browser, IE5.5, the "work offline" option is always checked. This means that I have to constantly go to File and uncheck it. Seems like this is a somewhat recent development. I cannot see a way to make it come up unchecked by default. Is there a way? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey Home Skillet... give dis a shot. In Internet Exploder go to Tools - Internet Options - Click Connections tab. Set your connection type to "Never Dial A Connection". Sha, dat should be it... hope dis is your slice of cake. Peace out.
