HELP ! I get a script error in my IE for many of the pages in many sites I visit & most of these are unusable.
Error is: 'return' statement outside of function. Example URL: http://www.email.indiatimes.com
I have tried everything from re-installing IE 5.0 to installing IE 6.0 (current) to re-installing windows to experimenting with IE settings, all in vain. I also tried installing Sun JRE SE v1.4.2_02 thinking the prob may be in Ms VM which would then be replaced. Can the VM that comes with IE 6.0 be replaced by anything better? Will it do any good? What else can be done??

If you go into Tools -> Internet Options -> advanced tab, you will see a couple of options a short way down. One is to "Display a notification of every script error" Uncheck this. You may also want to check the "Disable Script Debugging" option as well.
