Now, I can't open the .wmv file at IE even after I press the "restore IE setting" button. Can anyone help? Thx

I.E. cannot actually play .wmv, it actually just opens Media Player within its browser window to play them. I'm not sure how to reset the settings but if you right click the file and select "open" it should still open media player and play the file for you.

Hi, You are right that it is the IE which open Media Player and play in IE. However, i can't do it now after I accidently press the button that I mentioned before. Right now, I can't right click the file because the file is from the internet. I can't save it down to local harddisk

Get yourself a decent browser and a decent media player. I use Mozilla and Jetaudio. You can download both free off the net.
