Ideas on MS Ending Win 2k Support?

Hi,
I have a mission-critical computer, currently running Win2k Pro. It is 4 years since the last hardware upgrade & Win 2k install and it has run very well since. I'm building a new PC using the Biostar TF560A2+ board which works for the new AM2+ and, I understand, the future AM3 processors. The idea is to give it a long cpu upgrade life so I don't need to rebuild for another 4+ years (hopefully!).
I really like Win2kPro SP4 - super stable, but I'm rather concerned whether MS might stop supporting it soon. I could then always just upgrade to XP or Vista I suppose, but I was wondering if anyone had seen anything in the rumour mill about MS stopping support Win2k imminently?

yeah 2010... its in extended support phase now... so is xp actually! MS only supports windows products for 5yrs and if people are still obsessed with them they go into extended support (10yrs). To bad for 98 and even more so ME users who didnt even get their 5yrs i think :S
