ICS DHCP problem

When using ICS on a win2k host, the Ip address changes to 192.168.0.1, but none of the other win2k clients can find this address and I'm unable to ping it from any client. The clients are set to run dhcp but fail to pick up a 192.168 address. Only when I disable ICS can the clients connect with each other within the workgroup. They are connected via a Dell gigabit switch which is currently set as unmanaged. I've checked that there isn't another 192.168.0.1 address on the network. Why?

When you use ICS, do you give the switch an IP in that range? (ie: 192.168.0.?)

ICS defaults to 192.168.0.1 this has always been the case. Maybe you have two DHCP's running ?

hahahaha maybe?? i know for sure cuz ICS is standard dhcp when you turn it on. Your switch will use an ipadres what isnt in the range of the 192.168 scope so there is your problem.
set switch to 192.168.x.x adress and set default gateway as 192.168.0.1.
Dont know why you use ICS anyway cuz if you just put the internet cable into the switch and you connect the clients to it you also got internet and can connect to eachother.
