I have an icon on the tool bar next to the time at the bottom right of the screen that I want to get rid of. It is Virus Burst. I have removed the program that was put on the computer in error. How do I get the icon off the tool bar?

That appears to be malware - some removal instructions here OR you may want to post in a more appropriate forum, either here @Computing.Net or elsewhere for more detailed help

Thanks for the info but I found a free program that deletes it quickly with no problems. It is called: smitfraudfix. It can be downloaded here: http://siri.geekstogo.com/Smitfraud...

I'm sure there is more than one way to remove it - that tool appears somewhat similar to the SmitRem from the other link. As the pests evolve, so do their cures.

Glad to hear you've gotten it fixed
