Here's the deal. I have Win2k and nothing else, every bit of Win98 has been wiped out. I would like to get Win98 back. I don't care about formatting my hard drive. I have a Win98 Upgrade CD, but no start-up disk. HOW IN THE WORLD CAN I RE-INSTALL WIN98? Any ideas.
thanks

You can either download a startup disk from www.bootdisk.com or get one from a friend who has W98 installed.

Has bootdisk.com moved or shut their site down? I cannot access it for some reason. Is anyone else having that problem?
thanks

Boot with '98 boot-disk and run Fdisk/format routines.
tutorial at:
http://www.compguystechweb.com/index.html

before you do this you need to get a full version of win 98,then just put it in you cd drive and restart your computer.

You can make a startup disk from any WIN98 installed computer. Go to a friend's computer and put in a formatted or un-formatted disk in drive A: go to START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, ADD/RM PROGRAMS icon, STARTUP DISK tab, then hit the start button. Put the finished disk in your A drive and choose "start up with CD ROM" when you are given the choose to during the BOOT UP process. Place the win98 upgrade disk in your CD ROM drive and have your Key Code ready. You must use a Win95 CD or all Win3.1 disks to verify current existance of MS operating system during the setup procedure. That's it. Happy booting....and this is my Chistmas present to you-all.
