Windows 2000 comes with and installs Direct X 7.0a.........if your running Windows 2k your running direct X.

Hi,
Please visit the following link to download directx :

Cheers,
Sherlock

"DirectX 7.0a is an update to DirectX 7.0, providing improved force feedback performance and the best compatibility with today's input devices. Windows 2000 users do not need the changes in DirectX 7.0a, as they are specific to input device support on Windows 95 and Windows 98. This latest version of DirectX also offers excellent graphics, faster frame rates, and more immersive audio when running and displaying programs rich in multimedia elements such as full-color graphics, video, 3-D animation, and surround sound. If you had an earlier version of DirectX installed on your system, you will see little difference in available space on your hard drive, since DirectX 7.0a will overwrite the earlier version. "

i already do what you say, but it doesnīt work.
i have installed win2k because i use my PC to work, but i install a game, (for my rest time) but the game requires Directx 7.0, so i said "No problem, win2k comes with Directx" but it appears that it's not true or something happens, because the game told me i havenīt got directx installed.
Someone has a suggestion??

I think there is an obscure point with DirectX and W2K. If you launch the dxdiag, the report tells that you have DX7 installed, but if you look at the version files, it's the 5 version. What's the matter? Also I can't install a DX7a over W2K. Another reason to belive that the version installed is the 5 or 6 is i can't use and set the AGP enabled, think that i can do with my W98SE.
Any suggestion??
