I have TWO Plug and Play Software Device Enumerators in the "System Device" portion of Device Manager. I lost my sound in a windows (or IE) update and I was trying some suggestion from other threads (bad mistake) :(
Now, each time I reboot, there's an unknown device prompting me to reboot again!
Please help!

Try booting into Windows Safe Mode (F8 at startup). Go to device manager and undo previous changes.
