One of my friend's win2k system has no pagefile.sys on the C drive! I've turned on the setting for show system & protected files, nothing. I reset the setting for it in My Computer, Properties, 768 for both sizes, rebooted, nothing. I checked the registry's: hklm\system\currentcontrolset\control\session manager\memory management and it matches another system that has a pagefile.sys. This pc boots extremely slow and operates very slugishly when on. My friend had every version of spyware and adaware program on this computer some time ago, but we've since uninstalled all that. How can I get a pagefile.sys back on this system?
