I rebooted my computer and it is hung up in the startup...it just sits their in the startup for hours and nothing happens. It did the same thing when I restarted in Safe Mode, it just gets hung up for some reason. I have done 2 things 1)I unplugged the power chord for 1 min, then plugged it back in and turned the computer on and it still got hung up in the startup. 2) the next thing I did was try and boot from the windows 2000 cd and it still got hung up in the startup... I really don't know what else to do...could someone please help! I would greatly appreciate it. I have a ton of projects saved that I need to work on my computer.

Hi Try this restart your computer but before it gets to the win logo press ctrl/F8 at the same time. Go thru step by step confirmation to see where it stops (answer yes Y). my guess is you have a antivirus program that is causing the hang up. if it stops at your virus progam answer no N reboot
