I installed AIM on my computer but I don't want it anymore. Nothing but problems. I tried to uninstall using Remove Programs...no dice. I tried going into REGEDIT and deleting anything with AIM or AOL in it...still there. I still have the little icon in the folder where I saved it and I can't remove it. It keeps telling me that Access is Denied: Source File May be in use. I tried to defrag and clean everything out. It's still there. Can anyone help me?

Have you checked your processes to see if the executable is running? If so, then you will need to stop the service before deleting the file.

Further to the above advice, you might have missed some of the entries in the registry. Download and install regseeker Do a search with it, check the relevant entries, ensure that the backup box is ticked and delete.
