I canīt get AudioCatalyst to work

I canīt get AudioCatalyst to work probely. I can only seclect Analog in the menu "CD-ROM access method". I have install the ASPI program. When I want to grap a song it only grab the song in 1x-speed. How can i get the program to grap a song faster and what can I do to make the program work. The version is 2.10.

Hard to say without CD rom specs.
It could be that you have a old CD rom drive that only suppports analog. Plus don't think because you have a 24x or 36x etc. that it will grap at full speed. It will be limited to speed by 3 things. 1. The software grapping program 2. whether or not the CD rom is true speed or max. 3. Where the information is on the CD (Inside or outer ring)

I have the exact same problem, and it is not with the cd-rom drive. Windows 2000 does not let programs talk with hardware directly, which I think is what AutioCatalyst is trying to do. Unless Xing makes a win2000 compatable version then you are out of luck. sorry.

Your problem is not that you have an old CD-rom, or Xing's program. The problem is that you don't have the ASPI layer for windows NT/2000 installed yet. There is a nice large page in the help file concearing that.
