I am sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this question in, but i have looked through all the posts and can't figure out whats wrong. Ok, the problem i am having is that my computer cannot connect to Hotmail, yahoo, AOL, or even my bellsouth e-mail account. Every time i try all i get is a long load then a "Page cannot be displayed" error. I have tried changing the security settings in internet explorer, shutting down spyblaster and sygate, repairing internet explorer, reinstalling IE, and using Netscape navigator. None of them worked in the least. I am running windows 2000 (service pack 4) with IE 6 (service pack 1) through a westell wirespeed dsl modem. I have never had a problem with not being able to connect to any of the sites mentioned: before a week ago. If anyone has an idea about what it could be i would be most grateful.

I have been experiencing the same problem for the last couple weeks. I can access my accounts from home when I VPN and use the proxy server at work but cannot when I am going directly out from my cable modem service. The login page will hang for Yahoo and Hotmail. I have played with the MTU settings to no avail. I am using Windows 2000 going through a D-Link router with Comcast cable. I know this doesn't answer your question but I am checking with other sources now too.
