Can Anyone tell me how to setup win 2000 for using 4 com ports. I can't get it working but under win 98 it works great. I have interupt 3 is use(shared) for com 2 and 4 and interupt 4 shared by com 1 and 3.

Why do you want to set up 4 comm ports? Comm 1 and 2 are external and are there by default. Then if you have an internal modem, it should set up 3 or 4, depending on the brand of modem.

Have you had problems with w2000 opening and closing the port???. Do you know if there is a character that w2000 send after closing the port that lock the port???
