To see what programs are coming in on boot-up:
Left Click On These: Start>Run>TypeIn;"regedit">Plus-Sign besides; "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE">Plus Sign besides; "Software">Plus Sign besides; "Microsoft">Plus Sign besides "Windows">Plus Sign besides; "Current Version">Click on the yellow "Run" folder and voila the Name,Type and Data should be listed on the right.

I think they are a band out of Dallas right?
J/K No, But I have seen stranger. try booting without it plugged into the network. Or also revert back to any older drivers that you might have recently upgraded.

Re: "3HourBootUp" band from Dallas, we have a band here that should be called "3HourBootOut" ;) Never heard of a system taking 3 hours to boot-up, you must have a lot of patience. Some application or software/program(s) that you have installed must be running in the background holding back windows from completing the boot-up process.. Try disabling them one by one and/or booting up in Safe Mode to see if there's still getting that long delay.

Here is a link to the MSConfig.Zip. Download the file and place it into the Winnt\system32 directory and then click Start, then run. Into the run field type msconfig and click Ok.

For now your best bet is to download and unzip the msconfig file that gregoryglen has been so kind to provide above and follow-up on that advice, once the Msconfig screen opens, click on the "Start-Up" Tab and then try checking-off/disabling a program or two listed there that may be causing the long start-up delay. One question, is the bulk of the long delay encountered before you are able to get to your desktop or after?

A 3 hour bootup??? First off, you never mentioned whether or not you were running Pro or Server. If you're running Pro, the problems may be this simple: you have too many apps loading at Startup, you may have a replicating virus, you may have insufficient resources for your PC (ie. not enough RAM, slow processor, etc) -- if it's Server that you're running, your problems may be this simple: you have a Security Policy that's loading, you have too many apps at Startup, you may have a replicating virus, you may have insufficent resources. We run Server here with Group Policies, using a 400mhz processor, and 128MB RAM and it takes 10 minutes to load on a good day. Hope this helps you out.
