I have win2k installed on C: FAT32 drive and working properly, and I want to install win95/98 to the same disk partition as a second operating system. What should I do to restore win2k's MBR, boot sector etc. after installing win98, and how to add win98 to the startup loading menu (i.e. boot.ini)?

Do not install '9x in the same partition as W2K... (M$ advise against this...)
M$ will also advise you install '98 first, then W2K...
You can try it ('98 after W2K) and see if it will work... (but install '9x in its own 'space...')
Afterwards you run the ERD for W2K to restore the boot.ini; '9x will also be included there at this time... So it is VITAL you make the ERD for your W2K before proceeding with the '98 installation after/alongside your current W2K... Otherwise you 'won't' be able to recover/establish the dual-boot scenario...

You can restore win2k's MBR after installing win98 by using bootpart.
http://www.winimage.com/bootpart.htm

bootpart = a boot-manager... It isn't needed to establish dual-boot for W2K and '98 (or '95)...
Just follow the standard (and M$) routine(s) for dual-boot...
