is there any way to merge partions in Win 2000? i know that i can do it with a program like partition magic, but is there any free programs that will do it? i want to take my main disk, 15Gb, and merge it with the partition that was here (5Gb) when i bought the computer.

PLEASE HELP!!!

I'm not aware of any free utilities that do this. Although there are shareware programs that will.

Ranish Partition Manager can do it and it's free although certainly not as easy to use as Partition magic.
