Hi experts!

I have an w2000 IIS platform with an FTP and web servers runing.

The FTP server is eating all the bandwith I have and I want to limit the download bandwith only to FTP, leaving full available resources to WEB server.

Is this posible to do with IIS?

The other option (I think) is getting third party software for de FTP server ¿Are there any program that can limit the download speed?

Thanks all, I really am in big trouble.

(sorry for my bad english, I'm spanish)

well mira amigo
i'm not an IIS admin at my job so, i might not be too much of help but i think maybe you should use the bandwidth throttling feature? and i think you gonna have to set it up on the ftp site level cuz the bandwith throttling option overrides the settings you set up on the global level. try it and let me know please what happened?

Hi shinji.

First of all, thks for the tip and for your time.

I cant find the bandwidth throttling in Web or FTP sites, I only can see it in the server section over the sites.

I think I am not explaining myself enought good (the lenguage barriers), so lets try to "paint" my screen, the structure shown in the IIS configuration utility is:

Internet Information Services
- * adrserver
- FTP AdrenalinA
- Web AdrenalinA
- Administration Web Site

So I only can modify the bandwith consumed by the whole adrserver.

The quiz should be how to make another server but in the same box?

Maybe the version of IIS is too old?

Thanks.
