how to install windows 2000 , on ME?

hey, i tried installing windows 2000, i have windows ME. It only lets me install it on top of ME, so i have a choice of which to use when i logon. IM trying to reformat the harddrive...clean it up. then install windows 2000 for good. i have an hp pavilion AMD athalon 7950. thanks for looking

ME to 2000 is not a supported upgrade path so you're best to do a clean install of 2000.

hey thanks for the reply, yeah i plan to reformat ME..i hate that system. and ill install 2000. does that make anything slower by any chance? thanks

Wouldn't think so, it will be a lot more stable though. It should be just like your ME machine but better.
