How to install windows 2000 again

i have a sharp PC-A250 . some of the system files r missing .so i cant not open anything . first the computer had windows 2000 but i installed windows xp....but now i want to put windows 2000 again

You were already told what to do in your other post....just boot off the Win2000 CD & follow the instructions.

when i put windows 2000 cd . it says u already have new version of windows xp so u cant install 2000

You have to BOOT off the CD...is that what you're doing? You only have a few seconds to "press any key..." to enter the setup. You can't boot into XP & try to overwrite it with 2000.

When you installed WinXP did you upgrade or full new installation? If upgrade then you may be able to roll back to Win2000.

If you install Win2000 by formatting you will lose ALL your personal information so you should back it up.
