how to fix EXPLORE.exe error

OS: Win 2000 pro
CPU/Ram: PIII-500/ 512

I just install Win 200 pro into my new HD.
I use DSL to directly access into internet. Nornally I click IE icon, pc will going into internet.
This time, after I clicked IE icon, pc get into internet, but also got IE error massage " IEXPLORE.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created. "
After error message appeared for one min., pc close IE program and out of internet.

How do I can fix this problem.

What Service pack you have installed and what is IE Version?. Try to install IE 6 and Update windows immediately in the Microsoft Site.

And also which Antivirus you use and if it updated?

you'd better reinstall ie.

you can download ie 6.0 and install it.
