helo, i was poking around in the group policy. i use the "Run only allowed windows applications" and add in iexplore.exe so pple can only use iner explorer.. but this also disabled gpedit.msc so i'm not able to change it back later on.

so i added "gpedit.msc" too, to allow the use of gpedit. but it doesn't work! gpedit still not able to run.

i tested to run while the gpedit console is still open, lucky. otherwise i wld be stuck.

how do you allow gpedit to run?

thanks,

Hi, Did you find an answer to your problem as I have done the same and set my computer to only allow word to load for an exam, thinking I could go back to run:gpedit.msc and change back, but I can't.
If you have can you let know how you did it?

Hi. I have found that by using the command promp in the open in safe mode I can run regedit but not of course gpedit, but there must be a switch in there somewhere, all I have to do is find someone who knows where! Will let you know if I get lucky.
