Can any one tell me how to disable 'set as wall paper' that appear when you right click a picture in the internet explorer in the windows 2000 professional PC ?????
Thank You,
Ali,

If you are trying to remove a picture that you set as wallpaper already, right click anywhere on your desktop that does not have an icon. Choose "properties". click on "background". Choose a background or no background from the list.
If you want to make sure that the wallpaper never gets changed, do these general steps:
1. Create a new group policy object or use one that is already existing and applied to the domain/OU/whatever unit the users are in.
2. In the group policy object go into user configuration-->administrative templates-->control panel-->display-->disable changing wallpaper. Activate and configure that.
3. Apply the GPO to your container (domain OU etc).
4. Refresh policy, reboot, or just wait a few minutes for the poicy to take effect.--Ian

The previous poster's response will work perfectly for preventing someone from changing the wallpaper through the Display properties applet, but you have to change another setting in the Group Policy to strip away the ability to Set as Wallpaper: Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Desktop > Active Desktop and Disable the Active Desktop Wallpaper. This will remove the right-click menu option you mentioned in Internet Explorer.
