How do I disable Internet access through Group Policy? I want to disable all Internet Browers for certain users....

I've made a Group Policy but can't find the configuration for disabling internet browsers...

Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is a specific setting that says "Disable Browsers" or something similarly obvious. I do believe, however, that by using User Configuration - Administrative Templates - System and choosing the Setting "Don't Run Specified Windows Applications" and adding IEXPLORE.exe to the list of disallowed applications you can accomplish what you are looking for as far as Internet Explorer goes. For other browsers you'll have to explore (no pun intended) other settings and might find a combination of settings that will do the trick.

If there is a simpler way, I'd appreciate knowing what it is myself.

Thanks MW.

It worked! BTW do you how to browse through folders of programs and select several at a time? Doing it one at a time is kind of a hassle.

Thanks Again!!!

There is a problem with the above solution. Users can still access the Internet by opening a normal folder window, say My Computer, and use the address bar to type in an internet address, or click on Internet Explorer in the address bar and they're in. I'm trying to find a way around this. This happens even with the classic desktop and folder windows enabled.

Cheers,
Brendon
