How do I disable dual boot option?
After I did full installation(clean install)of Win2000 pro via Win98 operation, which included a conversion to NTFS, I found in 2000 that the 98 files where still there, and that a dual boot feature had now been put in effect when I restart. I deleted 98 file(My computer>C:\>Windows), and freed up that space. However, I would like to disable the dual boot option that pops up every time I restart to 2000, since it is the only OS available.

You have to edit the file named boot.ini and delete the line that references win98. (Save a copy of boot.ini before messing with it, just in case you mess up).

Normally boot.ini resides in c:\.
goto command prompt c:\
use
attrib -s -r -h boot.ini edit boot.ini
you will find an entry relating to 98 options, you delete that line.
you may also set the timeout to 0 for immediate selection of 2000 or else you have to press enter each and every time or wait for the default time out.
save the file and reset the attributes.
attrib +s +r +h boot.ini
restart to see the effect. If timeout is set to 0, you won't be able to the screen.
