Hey guyz,
My Laptop is connected thru the Internet via a Router. Is there anyway I can change the external IP address of my laptop [thru which it connects to the Internet].

I'm going to guess that you are on a Cable modem or DSL line. You will have to release your IP on the router and tell it to get another one; however, many cable companies will just give back the same IP. I know on my cable modem it has to be OFF for few days before I would get a different IP.

Well I used to experiment a lot of stuff. so was trying to do it.
I understand that the IP address assigned to me will be among those ones which are owned by my ISP. Still is there any way I can get an IP of my wish :-D

No, you can ONLY use an IP that belongs to the local subnet assigned by your ISP. You are trying to do impossible things..
PS: the IP of your laptop is not what you want to change, but the external IP on your router (that has the IP from your ISP).
