I need to backup a large amount of files because W2K crasked but the recovery console will not let me access my zip 250 usb drive! Does anyone know how i could get the zip working or what free program i could use to create a partition on the ntfs hard drive to backup my files?

I don´t know the specific steps, but to be able to access your USB Zip drive, you need two things: a DOS USB driver and a DOS Zip drive driver. To find the USB driver you need to know the model of your motherboard and do a search, for example, in www.google.com. For the Zip drive driver go to www.iomega.com.

OR, if my memory doesn´t betray me, you can use specific Win2K drivers that can be loaded during the recovery startup, because it asks for additional drivers if you need them.

Hope this helps more than the confussion it generates!
