Hello,

I want to setup a DHCP scope for my private network using DHCP server and at the same time, have the server connect to my ISP to permit an Internet connection for my users for their web browsing and email access.

So far I have ruled out ICS, it can't be used with DHCP service, the only option appears to NAT.

Any clues on the best configuration possible?

Kim,

When W2K server is installed on a disk for the first time it should finish (after reboot) with a screen that says "Configure Your Server". The process in my experience was very automatic and it configured everything for me correctly the first time. I ran into trouble when I tried to configure the components (DHCP,DNS) individually. Reaload W2K Server and allow it to configure itself. It's very clever in detecting all the network components etc and should be able to set itself up with little user intervention.

ICS can be use with DHCP. There is no problem in doing that.
