How do i password protect directories in IIS 5? I need detained instruction for setting up a password protected DIR in my website being hosted on a Win2k pro running IIS 5

Left Click on My Computer on Desktop and Choies Manager , All you need is from hear ,

You can set NTFS security on the directory. So if a user try to get to that directory from the web, he/she will be prompted with username and password.

Just right click form IIS-MMC snap-in on the directory u want to be password protected.
Goto Directory Access
disable Allow Anonymous Access.
if u find problem mail me .
