You can set NTFS security on the directory. So if a user try to get to that directory from the web, he/she will be prompted with username and password.

Just right click form IIS-MMC snap-in on the directory u want to be password protected. Goto Directory Access disable Allow Anonymous Access. if u find problem mail me .
