When you create a shortcut, you create a .lnk file. Shortcuts let you set window properties that I don't know how to set in other ways, like background color, font, etc..., I wish to use these .lnk files from the command line. How can I do that?

Simple .. .. You can't .. ..
But you can do it from run menu by writing the full path in double quotes.

e.g

"c:\windows\start menu\programs\windows explorer.lnk"
