I have a screen reader application for the visually impaired that will only run with the dislay set to 256 colors. I am creating an unattended install for the application so I need to change this setting automatically. How can I automate changing the Windows 2000 pro display from 32,000 colors (24bit) to 256 (8 bit)?

Well, some of that is going to depend on exactly HOW you are automating it. I'm assuming you're using an INF file, so then you just need to plug the right number in.

[Display]
BitsPerPel=8
Xresolution=800
YResolution=600
Vrefresh=75

If that's not it, try starting a new post with a little more detail on how you're automating things.....
