I had the same problem with Windows ME. It allows me to sign into MSN messenger without a problem, and even tells me I have unread Hotmail messages. But, when I try to link to Hotmail for my messages, it prompts me for the password. It is not a security problem, not a cookies or temp internet files problem, but it does have something to do with IE 6. The only way I could get my messages with Win ME is to download a different browser - I downloaded Netscape, and I've heard Opera works also, but that is just a pain in the ass. Any real suggestions as to the real problem here? Thanks in advance, Troy

Your issue is one of 2 things. 1. You are behind a firewall...disable the firewall and you'll see you can gain access right quick. Try adjusting your Privacy settings, or outright disabling them if you're running Norton. 2. Your Privacy settings on IE6 are too strict. Try adjusting those as well to allow all cookies. I have problems wih hotmail!!! it is the third time!!!("¤##%"!%#%¤"¤#) It say that I have new messages but when I click on the link (from messenger) to read it I only get something about: Extra storage for ony 29.99can$ and I cant continue !!!!!! This also happens when I try to logg in normally on www.hotmail.com PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!
