how are all your network settings - the DNS and IP addresses? are they all on the same workgroup? also - do you have user names set up on the w2k machine? you need to set up user names under program files/administrator tools/computer management - local users and groups - users. either create new log-ins that you use when logging on to the 98 machines, or enable the guest account that is disabled by default. hope this somewhat helps!

Question: What kind of DSL do you have? ADSL,SDSL,IDSL
Do you have a modem or Router for your DSL?
How many IP address did your ISP give you?
If you can give me answers to these questions then I can better help you.

The wonderful thing about Windows2000 is the internet sharing capability. I would suggest setting your DSL to the W2K machine (if it isn't already). Then you can go into the dialup connections, advanced tab, and enable internet sharing. This will enable your network to use 'virtual IP addresses' from the other machines to access the internet on demand from the W2K machine. Then you won't have to allocate additional IP's and a subnet for your network at home.
