Comment:

i have two computers behind the router: one running win2k and the other running xp. for some reason, the win2k machine can't find xp on the network while xp can easily find the win2k computer. do you guys think you might know why?
is it possible that it's because they're under different network names? win2k is under the "workgroup" network while xp is under the "home" network. but even so, i don't think it should matter because win2k doesn't seem to be able to find the "home" network at all anyways.
thx.

Check to see that the XP firewall is off. You'll find this in your network settings.
