Comment:
Hello, I have a Windows 2000 disc and I managed to scratch the disc and now (after formating my drive for a re-install!) the file "COMNTWKS.IN_" is corrupt. I tried searching the internet for it and found other versions of this file, but not the correct file. The file is "COMNTWKS.IN_" and the size of the file is "6,395 bytes". I've tried other versions and they don't seem to work. I was wondering if anyone out there who has a Windows 2000 Pro Disc (Mine is version YRMPOEM), if you can please help me out and send this file to me at joeblow1e(at)gmail.com I would greatly appreciate it. This file is located on the disc in the folder "I386". Thanks for the help!

-Joe

Sometimes copying the CD to harddrive will help. If you have a burner available I suggest you try copying the CD by copying to the hdrive first. That should be an advanced option in the burner software. Backing up important media is a wise idea, as you have discovered.
