Hello! I did post this in the drivers forum, but with no response, so I'm trying here now!

I am having a problem with the drivers for Crystal WDM Audio Codec. Each time I restart my pc, I lose all sound. The only way to get it back is to unstall the drivers for Crystal WDM Audio Codec BEFORE I restart, and then reboot. After reboot they are automatically re-installed and I have sound until I need to restart again.

I have tried updating drivers, but since you need to reboot after update~still no sound.

Any ideas would be appreciated! Thank you for your time!!

Hello! I am having a problem playing back a movie I burned onto a cd-r disk. Using Nero 6 It say that it burned successfully, but when I try and play it:

1.) Media Players says no disk in drive.<p

Hi

Don't know what this is but as I just posted a problem I thought I would have a search for your problem!

The following link at the end is a post in another Forum with someone who claims to have a fix! but this may not relate to your PC, but they are running 2k!
Its based on DELL I think!

Good luck!

GOT THE SOLUTION !!!!!

Was not my idea, just used the information privided by ImShrek in another message.

I was suffering from exactly the same symptoms, but under W2k, not XP. Have tried out the Audio Driver reload as well, without the slightest success. I had a workaround in place: After re-booting I opened Netmeeting, went thru the audio configuration wizard, closed Netmeeting. Then the audio settings were fine for the usage with the next application. Had to repeat for each subsequent application.

The solution for me was: Enter BIOS at boot-up (F2). Then change the setting for "Docking IRQ" from "Optimize" to "IRQ11". I don't undestand what is does, but it definetely fixed my problem.

I am curious to see whether it works for others too ..."
