OS: windows 2000
CPU/Ram: AMD 1.4 GHZ/768 MB PC2100
Comment:

ok, here's my system:

AMD Athlon 1.4 GHZ 266 FSB
Asus A7N8X Deluxe Motherboard with
nVidea nForce
768 MB PC2100 DDR RAM (one 512 and
one 256)
ATI ALL IN WONDER Radeon 8500DV
video card
Coolermaster copper core tunnel cooling
fan (best I've ever had)
TDK 48X 12X 48X CD-RW Drive
(secondary Master)
Mats---a 8X DVD-ROM drive (secondary
Slave)
Maxtor 80GB hard drive (Primary Master)
Maxtor 60GB hard drive (Primary Slave)
Floppy Drive
17" Pixie Model-750 Monitor (had a better
one, but it broke)
Logitech Optical Wheel mouse
standard 102 key PS/2 keyboard
ACS54 surround sound speakers

ok......problem is, that when I instal the
drivers for the ATI All In Wonder card, and
restart the computer, it won't boot up
it will get to the splash screen, and once
the spash screen goes away, instead of
showing the desktop, it automatically
restarts the system. I have the most
recent drives for both the motherboard
chipsets, AND the video card, the most
recent Bios update, and I'm pulling my
hair out.....what's the problem? what's
conflicting here? why won't it work? any
advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try rebooting in safe mode and reinstall drivers. I would check manufactures website for updated drivers as well.

Good luck!

Not helpin there frank, safe mode doesn't
work, though VGA mode DOES, but
reinstalling the drivers does nothing. I
already mentioned above that I have
installed the most recent drivers.
Nothing's working
