I have Linux 6.2 in a workgroup. Win 98 machines can see the workgroup... But Win 2000 cannot see the workgroup Ive added user accounts in unix and log -in in win2000 but still cannot see the workgroup PLs Help thanx

to my understanding, windows 2000 computer on a workgroup with win98 machines and linux machines, windows 2000 will not be able to see the workgroup unless each computer on the workgroup that is not a Windows 2000 computer needs an IP address.
Windows 2000 works via the TCP/IP protocol not the Netbeui, netbeui being the protocol windows 98 computers use.
So the answer to your question is to assign each computer on the workgroup an IP address so each computer can see where they are in the workgroup

Every machine got their own local IP address. Its not that critical for me to see win 98 machines.
What is very urgent is to see RedHat Linux on the workgroup because win98 can see REDHAT Linux already.
