I am using english version of windows 2000 pro. when I log on to my computer with administrator priviledges rundll32.exe starts to run in background and it takes all the processor's time. (~99% of cpu all the time)

every time I start up my computer I manually shut rundll32 down, but can anyone help me to get rid of it once and for all?

I have had the same problem, the only way I found to resolve it was to format the drive and re-install win 2000 sorry!

Something in your STARTUP folder or your registry is starting that rundll32.exe
To find out, run regedit and do a search for 'runservice', now scroll up a bit and find RUN, look inside and run each command line at the STARt/RUN until you find the one that starts the rundll32.exe on you. Do the same for runone and runservice folders.

"rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,LoadCurrentPwrScheme". How do I get rid of it?
