Ack! Help! I have a compaq running win 2000 pro. This morning I booted the system and got the error
The regisrty cannot load the hive file \System Root\System32\Config\SOFTWARE The file may be missing or damaged....
I cannot boot my computer normally or in safe mode at all. I keep getting the same message. Any ideas out there on how to resolve my problem? I have not installed anything new for weeks.
