I need some help here... I had problems with my old windows 2000 installation, which was installed over Windows ME, on a Fat32 hard drive. I had problems with my OS freezing after I upgraded my RAM. My old ram was 128 MBs, and now its 328. It had 2 64 MB ram chips, and I replaced one with a 256 MB ram chip. My computer was originally made by eMachines, which was T1905. I tried to fix the problem by formatting the hard drive and rebuilding it with NTFS hard drive type, and now after I try to install microsoft windows 2000 updates it causes the system to try to start up, but it instantly reboots, and it does this constantly. Can someone help me?

Remove the 1 64Mb RAM chip and see if that fixes the problem. I believe your system sees it as 1/2 a bank of RAM.
